FAQ's

  • I'm sending chocolates as a gift - will there be any pricing information in the package?
    We know that many of the orders we receive are intended as gifts and are sent directly to the recipient. Therefore, we never include any invoicing information in our packages. Your recipient will only receive their chocolates and a gift message (if you've chosen to include one).
  • Can I have my chocolates delivered abroad?
    Unfortunately we are only able to ship to the UK at the moment, but we hope that changes in the future!
  • Are your chocolates vegan?
    Most of our chocolates are made with tasty Scottish double cream. However, our Dark Chocolate Selection Box, Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate and Haggis Spice Bars are all vegan friendly.🌿
  • Are your chocolates gluten free?
    With the exception of our Salted Caramel Selection, none of our standard chocolate selections or bars contain gluten. Additonally, sometimes our limited edition selections will contain gluten. As we have gluten on site there is always a small risk of cross contamination but we do all we can to minimize the risk 😁
  • Do your chocolates contain palm oil?
    No, we're very proud to say that our chocolates are 100% palm oil free!
  • How long will my chocolates last?
    Our boxes have a shelf life of 3 months from when they are made. But if you know how good they taste, they certainly won't last that long!
  • Do you deliver to all areas of the UK?
    We offer Free Delivery to all areas of the UK including the Highlands, Islands, Northen Ireland and the Isle of Man
  • How should I store my chocolates?
    Chocolates are best stored at room temperature somewhere cool and dry. If you order chocolates in the summer months, however, it might be better to keep them in the fridge.
  • My chocolates have arrived damaged. What should I do?
    We're so sorry to hear this. Contact us at taste@chocolatesofglenshiel.com with a picture of the damage and we will do all we can to fix it!
  • Where is Glenshiel?
    Glenshiel is a beautiful rural area of the Scottish Highlands on the north west coast of Scotland. It is approx 30 minutes drive away from the Skye Bridge, and across the loch from Eilean Donnan Castle.
  • How long will it take for my chocolates to arrive?
    We send out all of our parcels First Class using Royal Mail, and most arrive in 1-2 days.
  • Can I buy a giftcard?
    Yes! We now offer eGift cards on our website under the 'shop' tab. For corporate gift cards, please contact us at taste@chocolatesofglenshiel.com
  • We're on holiday. Can we come and buy chocolates?
    Yes, we would love to have you. Head over to chocolatesofglenshiel/visit-us to find our opening hours :)
  • Why do I have to book an appointment to visit on a Saturday?
    Our production kitchen is only operational Monday - Friday, but if you let us know you are coming, we can make sure someone is around to meet you on a Saturday!
  • How do I get to your shop in Glenshiel?
    Our shop is on the A87 in Glenshiel. You can find directions for our shop on our visit us page or on Google Maps.
  • Do you have a cafe?
    We do! Our cafe and shop is located at Shiel Bridge on the A87. Check us out on Instagram and Facebook @glenshielchocolatecafe for up-to-date opening times.
  • I run a gift shop and want to stock your chocolates. Do you sell wholesale?
    We absolutely do. See our products and apply to sell at chocolatesofglenshiel/apply-to-sell
  • Can I set my chocolates to arrive on a specific day?
    If you'd like your chocolates to arrive on a specific day, please let us know by emailing us at taste@chocolatesofglenshiel.com. We can't guarantee an exact delivery date but we'll try to have your chocolates arrive as close to it as possible!
